Belief
I love the internet.
I love instant news and being able to filter out
everything that I don't care to watch on TV
news. Part of the beauty of the internet
is that it places news in the hands of the
masses and anyone with an opinion or idea can
discuss it on their blog or website.
The downside is that there
is no way to verify anything that is said.
The media itself has it's own biases but we tend
to know that certain commentators are liberal or
conservative. With anonymous people we
have no clue what their bias is or even if what
they say is the truth at all.
We have to take everything
we hear with a grain of salt. If miracle
weight loss really worked, no one would be
overweight. If you could easily make
thousands from home, everyone would be rich.
We must be wise when it
comes to what we hear. There are many
things that clamor for our attention these days.
Not only do we want to keep from appearing foolish
we don't even want to waste our time on
half-truths and lies. If it sounds too
good to be true use great caution when
determining if you believe it or not.
