material harvest from you?

Expecting
a Harvest
As
Paul is writing to the Corinthians he is
speaking of financial support. He had
spent a lot of time with the people of Corinth
and had a right to ask them for support of his
continued ministry in other parts of the world.
The principle applies to
spiritual matters as well as financial matters
as well. Pastors and teachers invest great
amounts of time, prayer, and even tears in
ministering the Word of God. They do so
because they expect that their work will yield
results.
We honor our teachers and
mentors when they witness us growing in Christ
and understand the difference they have made in
our lives. Take a moment to write a note
or make a call to someone who has made a
difference in your life. Let them know
that their labor was not in vain and that you
consider yourself part of their spiritual
harvest. |
