Thanks for Jesus

Every year we celebrate Christmas.  It is a time to remember the birth of our Savior.  Unfortunately the message gets lost in a sea of commercialism and parties.

Christmas is an event that most people look forward to, often for very unbiblical reasons.  But imagine if Christmas didn't happen every year.  What would the anticipation be like when it finally came?  Now what if it had never come and everyone had been patiently waiting for the first Christmas celebration?

Anna had worked in the service of the Lord for her life and was an old woman at the time of Jesus' birth.  When she saw the long awaited Messiah, she rejoiced in a way that few others could or ever would.

Giving thanks for Jesus is so simple that we often take Him for granted.  Occasionally we must look at Jesus through the eyes of another to regain the excitement and sense of thanks that we should have.

Anna is thankful for Jesus and goes around telling everyone the story of Jesus.  We too should be thankful and should tell others the story of Jesus.
