The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

Thanksgiving for Compassion

There are times in everyone's life that we feel beaten down by the world.  This can happen for any number of reasons from simple busyness to being around antagonizing people on a regular basis.

When we're down, the last thing we need is for someone to add to our troubles.  Fortunately even if no one else is, God is compassionate to us.  God will never leave us nor forsake us.  God will always be there when we cry out to Him.  He is there when we just need someone to listen to our troubles.  And He is there to lift us up when we fall down.

Some people choose to blame God for allowing bad things to happen to them.  They accuse God of being the source of their troubles because He did not prevent them.  The truth is that God will never give us more than we can handle - as long as we rely on Him to get us through.

When we feel that life is giving us more than we can take, we need to examine our lives and see if we are trying to handle it all or if we are handing our burdens to God and trusting Him to handle it with His compassion.
