10 Thanks for Answers
As was discussed in Thanks in Worship
we should take time to thank God for answered
prayers. But there are other times when
all we can do is cry out to God. These are
special times that we ought to be especially
thankful for.
Romans 8:26 tells us, "In the same way, the
Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know
what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit
himself intercedes for us with groans that words
cannot express." We don't know anymore at
that moment than we need God's help and that we
must cry out to Him. And God will answer
what we can't even express into words!
Many people have become saved, knowing only
that there was something wrong in their life and
that God was the only one who could make it
right. In these times God draws people
near to Him and places them in the right
position that they hear the gospel or the words
that they need to hear.
When God responds to our cries in a
remarkable way, we have no choice but to respond
in thanksgiving for what God has done for us.
