Public Thanks

Some people are naturally more outgoing than others.  Some people love life in the spotlight.  Others hate attention and prefer to stay away from crowds and places where they can't blend in.

All of this is fine because God made each of us differently.  Some people are attention grabbers and others are introverts.  What we must be careful of is that our personality is not used as an excuse for not thanking or worshipping God.

Perhaps we are not meant to lead others in thanksgiving but we should never be ashamed to give thanks to God in public.  This can mean praying before a meal in a restaurant or being willing to share your testimony with someone.

Thanking God in public doesn't have to be a big thing.  All we need to really do is acknowledge God for what we have whether it's our food, our talents, or our salvation.  We don't have to give a speech or have any well prepared thoughts.

Giving thanks in public shouldn't be any more intimidating than simply being in public.  In the end it is just letting others know that we are thankful for what God has given us.
